5 Love Attraction Lessons from Music & Lyrics

5 Love Attraction Lessons from Music & Lyrics
1. Life is not always fair, just or nice! Many of us do not handle unfair, injustice or mean experiences well – I know I don’t but like a fine wine or cheese… I’m improving with age and experience. The main character in Music & Lyrics, Alex, having survived a break-up with his childhood friend and business partner, grieved, turned to escapist behaviors with drugs, alcohol and womanizing then spent 15+ years meandering aimlessly and dispassionately through life until he receives an unexpected opportunity to revive his career and return him to his glory days.

His soon to be love interest, Sophie, nursed a wound from a college relationship done bad and gone public. She nursed her wounds from the safe space of home and family only timidly putting herself out for fear of validating the unfair, unkind claims of her former lover.

2. It is way too easy to get stuck in a past sense of injustice related to a break-up. There are a million how-not-to books available and just as many telling readers how to get unstuck. Heart break, divorce equal hurt feelings that’s that: self-doubts, life-doubts, fear, confusion, despair and an extremely intense need to avoid repeating the experience need to be honored, evaluated and addressed. This is pure survival instinct! A period of time to grieve and mourn is natural and normal but is not intended to be permanent! Short term, it is valuable downtime when used for reflection, resolving and realignment but when prolonged, it blocks the ability to heal the hurt and go on with life in a meaningful and fulfilling way and becomes a barrier to attracting the love of your life into your life.

Long term the emotion felt is a valuable tool – energy to launch a greater, better than ever next and again, intensely felt emotions are the fodder for books, music, movies… and significant change!

3. Soul Mates push each other’s buttons revealing those stuck places. It seems cruel that the Universe puts two wounds together and then the buttons push and they find themselves bleeding all over again. Yet, the emotions of heartbreak and despair, confusion and even revelations are the seeds that grew into a beautiful melody with heartfelt lyrics. Without those emotions it would be difficult to write a song that resonated with a large audience who relate because they have or do feel the same way. And all those million how-not-to books and all those telling readers how to get unstuck were all written by people who have been there done that… Adversity in life serves a purpose but only if we apply their lessons learned!
Without emotion signaling some kind of discomfort, no change would take place. Soul mates tend to expose those areas where change is necessary, embarrassingly, uncomfortably!

4. Everything happens for a reason and the reason is good. Serendipity puts opportunity & unlikely people in place just in time for us to choose heal and move forward again or stay stuck. Who would have imagined a previously unknown girl, filling in for a friend whose job is to care for the plants, would not only be the salvation for his career and income but also the love of his life? That’s how it goes in Music & Lyrics. Only, however, in his own tangled web of emotions was he able to reach out for healing and simultaneously produce a hit song.

Like in the movie, life events fall into place perfectly whether we realize it or not. There is always a perfect order playing out in our lives and its timing is perfect.

5. We do, however, have freewill! When a person is stuck, they literally have a “shadow overhead” and a “cloud” that distorts their first impressions. Then, caught up in pain-drama and fears, even their ideal Soul Mate appears to be another heart break waiting to happen. There is a way back into love when you leverage downtime to reflect, learn and grow. Most of us need help to do that, especially at our lowest moments. The 5-step Attraction Process transforms pain and trauma into a powerful attracting energy for what you really want in a Soul Mate relationship. Followed by the Belief Change work you will eliminate barrier energy and clear the energetic path to attract your Soul Mate quickly and easily.

Way Back into Love by Adam Schlesinger from the movie Music and Lyrics
Verse 1 (Drew Barrymore or Haley Bennett)
I’ve been living with a shadow over head,
I’ve been sleeping with a cloud above my bed.
I’ve been lonely for so long,
Trapped in the past,
I just can’t seem to move on!
(Hugh Grant)
I’ve been hiding all my hopes and dreams away,
Just in case I ever need ‘em again someday.
I’ve been setting aside time,
To clear a little space in the corners of my mind.
Chorus (Both)
All I wanna do is find my way back into love.
I can’t make it through without a way back into love.
Ooo hooow
Verse 2 (Drew Barrymore or Haley Bennett)
I’ve been watchin’ but the stars refuse to shine
I’ve been searchin’ but I just don’t see the signs
I know that it’s out there
There’s gotta be something for my soul somewhere.
(Hugh Grant)
I’ve been looking for someone to shed some light
Not somebody just to get me through the night
I could use some direction
And I’m open to your suggestion.
Chorus (Both)
All I wanna do is find my way back into love.
I can’t make it through without a way back into love.
And if I open my heart again
I guess I’m hoping you’ll be there for me in the end.
Middle Eight (Drew Barrymore or Haley Bennett)
There are moments when I don’t know if it’s real
Or if anybody feels the way I feel
I need inspiration
Not just another negotiation
Chorus (Both)
All I wanna do is find my way back into love.
I can’t make it through without a way back into love.
And if I open my heart to you,
I’m hoping you’ll show me what to do.
And if you help me to start again
You know that I’ll be there for you in the end.

I look forward to hearing your success story! Namaste.
